OnePoll, known for its quick and easy online paid surveys, is a legitimate get-paid-to (GPT) platform. Offering a straightforward way to earn a small amount of money, it's a viable option for those looking to supplement their income through online surveys.
Are you intrigued by the prospect of making money from the comfort of your home, simply by sharing your opinions? If so, you're not alone. Many in the UK are turning to online survey platforms like OnePoll, seeking flexible ways to earn.
In this detailed OnePoll review, we dive deep into its workings, helping you understand whether it's worth your time and effort. From the ease of joining to the actual earning potential, we cover all aspects to bring you an unbiased perspective. Read on to discover if OnePoll could be your next go-to side hustle in the digital survey world.
OnePoll is a paid survey site owned by OnePoll Limited, with headquarters in both the UK and the US. The platform has been around since 2010, making it one of the older GPT websites in the industry.
As a market research company, OnePoll has partnered with local UK companies that need data about consumer behaviour. The surveys serve as their main method for marketing insights. By answering the surveys, you provide data for OnePoll’s partners in exchange for points. The points can be later converted into cash.
Yes. OnePoll does seem to be a legitimate website. We were also able to test it out ourselves and found that we could cash out once we reached the payout threshold.
POSITIVE TRUST PILOT REVIEWS ⭐⭐⭐⭐
You can also check out reviews from TrustPilot to see what other people have to say. As of writing, OnePoll has a 4.3-star rating and around 617 reviews — a modest, but positive number.
It’s relatively easy and straightforward to join OnePoll. Here’s what you need to do.
There are two main ways you can earn with OnePoll: answering surveys and joining prize draws. You used to be able to refer friends, though this is no longer the case.
These questionnaires are the bread and butter for users. Once you’re able to log in, you’ll find the surveys on your dashboard. Each button will also show the number of points you get, typically 10 or 20 points each, equivalent to 10p and 20p respectively.
The reward amount is small, yes. However, this can be justified because the surveys are also relatively quick to finish. Some have only one question to answer! When we tried answering, it only took a few seconds to two minutes to finish most of the surveys. Only a few took longer than five minutes.
There is one drawback, however. There’s no guarantee that you’ll qualify for the surveys available. This is the same throughout all other paid survey websites, so you should set your expectations.
There are some surveys that offer you a chance to join prize draws. This opportunity is outlined in their Terms and Conditions, but remember, this will be a game of chance with no guarantee of making money. Prize draws are unfortunately not a reliable way to earn money — just a bonus you get for playing.
There was a time when OnePoll let you earn cash by giving you a referral link. You’d share it with your friends or family to earn points whenever someone made their first cash out. Unfortunately, this program seems to have stopped a few years back. We have no idea when this will return, so we suggest sticking to the paid surveys to earn money.
There are two ways to get paid in OnePoll. First is through BACS (or Bankers Automated Clearing Services). You’ll need to have a valid UK bank account. The transfers will usually take three to five days, but it could take longer in some cases.
Another method is PayPal, which means you’ll need to have an account with them.
One thing you have to remember is that OnePoll only allows withdrawals of £25 and more. You’d need to reach this threshold before you can make your first payout.
Most of the surveys offer 10p and 20p in compensation, which means you need to answer around 5 surveys minimum to earn £1. You can actually answer up to five, 20p questions in under 6 minutes or less. As we mentioned above, the questionnaires are rather quick. Given that, you can earn £4 – £5 an hour if you’re able to answer surveys consistently, provided that you qualify for all.
Earning £5 an hour is a reasonable amount if not low compared to the other survey sites. Still, the questions do not take a lot of effort to answer, so you won’t have to put too much work into the task. We found answering the surveys is a great way to pass the time while commuting, waiting in queues, and picking the children up from school.
To help you answer surveys on the go, OnePoll has released a mobile app. You can download the software to your mobile from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store. To start answering surveys, simply log in and find the available ones. The app removes the need for a laptop or computer, allowing you to answer surveys and earn whenever, wherever. Best of all, you can leverage geo-location surveys, which are questionnaires that are dependent on your location.
Like most other paid survey sites, OnePoll has its advantages and disadvantages. Here’s what we found while using the survey site.
Given the low earning potential, OnePoll may not suit your needs. Here are other paid survey sites we’ve tried that might be a better option for you. Still, there’s no one stopping you from signing up on OnePoll along with these others to maximise your earnings.
Swagbucks is more than just a survey platform. You can also use the site as a browser to earn points for every search you make. Other offers available include cashback for online shopping and rewards for trying out apps.
We’ve also tried ySense, which is similar to SwagBucks. The primary offer is paid surveys, with some paying as much as £5 once you finish. Aside from surveys, you can get rewards for reviewing products and playing online games.
Branded Surveys is the most similar to OnePoll. This platform focuses purely on surveys instead of offering other tasks for rewards. The site also has a great bonus program that lets you earn additional points the more surveys you’re able to answer, leading to higher earnings.
